Inspector Job

Yoh has a contract opportunity for AN INSPECTOR/2ND SHIFT to join our client in Rochester, NY.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Responsible for the inspection of PCBAs (Printed Circuit Board Assemblies) and/or electrical/

mechanical assemblies using IPC standards, test and measurement equipment.
- Perform inspection of incoming parts and/or in-process inspection of PCBAs, mechanical assemblies and/or finished products.
- Correlating and analysing quality results/data to conclude whether a product or process conforms to established requirements.
- Interpreting quality inspection results/data, to summarize/describe quality trends and associated recommendations.
- Ensure proper material identification, segregation and storage.
- Collaborate with Operations and Quality teams to implement containment plans for failed material.
- Collaborate with Quality to issue Inspection Reports as required.
- Work closely with members of MFG, Procurement and Quality to ensure good coordination and flow of material.
- Follow Quality Management System policies, procedures and work instructions.
- Verify inspection equipment is calibrated and maintained prior to use.
- Maintain daily, monthly and quarterly metrics as prescribed.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and work to implement process/procedural changes as required.
- Work schedule is Monday - Friday 3pm - 11pm

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE

- IPC-A-610 Certified with a solid understanding of IPC 610 Class 1, 2 & 3 standards and familiarity with circuit board and electro-mechanical inspections a must
- Must be proficient in the use of the following: Digital Calipers, Plug Gauges, Thread Gauges, Metric and 10th scales, Work Process Instructions, Assembly Drawings, ability to navigate in a windows environment.
- Good understanding of lean principles
- High School Diploma or GED as a minimum and two (2) years electro-mechanical inspection experience or equivalent.
- Must be detailed oriented with abilities to conduct inspections against established requirements, identify non-conformities and report non-conformities for resolution.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
