Inspector for Packaging Job

INSPECTOR FOR PACKAGING needed for a CONTRACT position with Yoh's client located in Hicksville, NY 11801.

TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Manufacturing experience in FDA/cGMP environment

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Inspects filling/packaging/labeling and other manufacturing operations to assure compliance with S.O.P.'s and cGMP's.
- Performs visual inspections of packaging lines and equipment for cleanliness.
- Verifies components for filling operations.
- Pulls samples of finished product according to sampling plan for analytical testing.
- Performs inspections on packaging lines during filling operations, documenting all information on corresponding paperwork.
- Initiates corrective action reports when necessary.
- Performs visual inspections of compounding equipment for cleanliness.
- Follows SOP and cGMP guidelines.
- Performs and verifies daily calibration checks on scales for packaging and compounding areas.
- Verifies batch record information against packaging line set-up for filling operations.
- Reviews QA paperwork for correctness at the completion of packaging operation

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- English reading and comprehension skills required to understand and communicate SOP's, cGMP's, and Filling & Manufacturing Instructions, and identify compliance and non-compliance with same.
- Basic mathematical skills and ability to perform weight calculations.
- Participate in Behavioral Based Safety Program (BBS) by complying with all safety procedures and preventive measures (ie, wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE
- High School diploma or G.E.D Associates degree or equivalent experience in lieu of college preferred

Hours 6:45 am to 3:30 pm. Candidate must be available for overtime during the week and on weekends.
