Inspector

An engineering and construction client has an immediate need for a Lead Electrical QA / QC Inspector for a central utility plant improvement project in Washington, D.C. This is a 4 year CONTRACT assignment, with the possibility of becoming Permanent. Local candidates only, no per diem available for this position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Perform daily construction inspections to assure compliance with construction plans and specifications
- Site inspections and reporting, contractor interface and assistance with the coordination of construction work within a central utility plant operating 24 / 7
- Safety program compliance / oversight, participation in project meetings, photographic documentation and cataloging, coordination of system outages, identification / resolution of field conditions, change order estimating, and monitoring of contractor work performance against established schedules
- Field-level support of the Commissioning process will also be required

REQUIREMENTS

- Experience working on large scales electrical projects
- Experience with central utility plant modernization projects preferred
- High School / Trade School diploma and 15+ years of related construction experience as Quality Assurance / Quality Control Inspector
- Licensed Master Electrician
