Ink Researcher in Venlo

Eingestellt von Michael Bailey Associates - Eindhoven

Gesuchte Skills: Engineering, Design

Projektbeschreibung

For our client in the R&D industry we are looking for an ink researcher

START DATE: ASAP

LANGUAGE: English (Dutch preferred)

DURATION: 12 months (possible extension)

LOCATION: Venlo

Part of the R&D organization, the Consumables Processes department assures the development of competitive products by realizing the involved print (imaging) processes with the right print quality, reliability, time to market and cost structure. C& P is also responsible for development and engineering of strategic consumables (eg ink) and modules, essential elements in our printing process. This includes design and realization of the process technology. For a new ink development, the quality of the ink design has to be brought to a level that can be used in regular ink production. The robustness of the ink recipe needs to be explored and subsequently validated. The focus is not set on developing a new ink, but on determination of the effect of variations in raw materials and ink processing on functionality in the printer. Failure mechanisms and requirements in the printer and printhead need to be translated to ink parameters and measurement methods.

MAIN TASKS:

Designing and evaluating new measurement methods

Evaluating measurement methods used in relation to functional behavior in the printer.

Setting up test plans to determine recipe robustness

Sample preparation and determination of physical properties

Printer test on complex (development) test engine

Cooperating with other functions (print process, printhead) in the printer development

Reporting

Together with a multi disciplinary team (about 10 people), the main challenge will be to translate the requested functionality into measurable ink parameters. The unique part of this assignment is to simultaneously develop measurement methods as well as studying the influence of variations in the ink on the functionality in the printer.
