Injury Prevention Coordinator

An iconic industry leader is seeking a suitably experienced Injury Prevention Coordinator for a new position in their growing team; someone who can fit in quickly with the existing team and continue with a focus on injury prevention strategies and developing and implementing the Wellness Program.

Reporting to the OHS manager, you will be working in a team of Injury Management, Injury Prevention and Self-Insurance Coordinators to reduce LTIs, injury costs and the overall impact of long term illnesses.

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

- Rehabilitation of injured workers
- Develop suitable plans and duties programs for injured workers
- Assist with the Wellness program including early prevention and ergonomic improvement programs
- Management budget allocation for Wellness Program
- Reporting of program costs and return on investment
- Monitor FPOCs
- Promote Workplace Wellness Initiatives
- Identifying and managing complex injuries cases
- Coordinating and reviewing medicals

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

- WHSO qualifications and a Current REHABILITATION COORDINATORS Certificate
- A minimum of two years experience in a similar role
- Background in Workplace Rehabilitation
- Understanding of the QUEENSLAND WORKERS COMPENSATION and Rehabilitation Act
- Background in manufacturing or process industries will be held in high regard
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to all levels
