INGRES ABF DEVELOPER

DURATION: 3 months

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Ingres ABF Developer is required to support the business critical Prices Ingres systems used by client. The post holder may also be required to assist with other Ingres ABF support and development activities as required.

REQUIRED SKILLS

- Extensive knowledge of Ingres ABF
- Advanced knowledge and experience of SQL
- Knowledge of OpenROAD DAOgen
- Ingres ABF Contractor - Support
- Experience of engaging with customers directly to discuss requirements and issues
- Experience of supporting business applications via a helpdesk
- Excellent analysis/investigative and problem solving skills
- Experienced in producing complete solutions including documentation to agreed standards
- Able to work on their own initiative, within agreed parameters and standards
- Have excellent communication skills - in person and in writing
- Share their skills and experience with the other ONS developers; carry out technical training and mentoring of new recruits and less experienced staff members.
- Knowledge and experience of OpenROAD 5.1. with an Ingres RDBMS Back End
- Experience of Agile techniques and principles
- Experience of Application Server
- Experience of upgrading to Linux (ideally from an AIX platform)
- Experience of Build and Release processes
