INFRASTRUCTURE CONSULTANT

Duration: 6 months

A senior person that has managed complex infrastructure projects spanning many locations. The ability to work in a federated model and understands the complexity the model presents for global projects. Specifically someone that has developed IaaS/private cloud for a multiple site company.

Short Description:
The solution must enable rapid deployment of services globally, while significantly reducing the involvement from local business units, the amount of staff to manage the platform, one contact point for global projects, and provide a decentralized standardized platform for global services.

Scope and Deliverables:
Selection of an infrastructure platform to create a private cloud (IaaS) or an external cloud based offering.
A completely standardized platform across all BUs that require global services.
A platform that can scale with the business needs.
Deployment of this platform in each BU that has a need for global services.
A platform that enables rapid deployment of services in an easy to use manner.
Fully automated server provisioning from a web portal (ie. Services Now or VCAC)
Global reporting of the GSP
24x7 Monitoring by external provider
Level 1&2&3 support provided by external provider
Global governance model (L1/2/3) with a mix of external and internal service providers as most appropriate
Infrastructure support and design/provisions for Disaster Recovery/Service Continuity (ie. SRM/failover locally/globally)
Model for data recovery (Backup or similar)
Development of service management procedures (ie. incident & problem management)
Creation of the team to handle the on-boarding of services into the platform
