Infrastructure Technical Specialist

A large Government Department is urgently seeking several Infrastructure Technical Specialists to work on its multiple projects in Canberra until 30 June 2013.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Support and implementation of company's End User Computing technologies;
- Technical design, support of incident and problem resolution in relation to End User Computing services; and
- Skills transfer and mentoring of staff for End User Computing systems.

SKILLS:

- Experience in leading and developing staff and guiding team in the strategy relating to Branch priorities;
- Management of an IT Infrastructure team and help with day to day operations;
- Develop strategies for the team relating to Branch priorities;
- Knowledge of windows, vmware, Citrix, VDI and storage technology to assist with technical direction;
- Translate business requirements to design solutions;
- Formulate solution designs and provide design Governance;
- Knowledge of IBM Infrastructure and Infrastructure operations required to host the online systems;
- Experience in end to end management of delivery towers; and
- Degree qualifications in IT or equivalent.
