One of our blue chip clients is looking for an INFRASTRUCTURE SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR/COORDINATOR FOR A 7 MONTHS+ FREELANCE CONTRACT IN BRUSSELS.

MISSION

The mission is two-folds:

- Before the end of 2017 the data center of our client, currently physically located within the building of our client, will move to another location (Germany). They estimate they will have the due diligence during summer, infrastructure changes in September and the move in October. We are looking for someone who can support their team during the whole project. You will be the interface between local team, the current and the future supplier, providing documentation when required, managing timelines, making sure all deadlines are met. Please note we are looking for someone who will be active in the project and not only forward to do's to other team members. This part of the mission could include some travels abroad.
- In addition - as we don't expect this part of the mission to be a full time job - this person would integrate the "clients" part of the infrastructure team, support the day-to-day tasks in managing the Windows 7 clients (packaging, software distribution, GPO's, incidents ) and participate to the preparation of the migration to Windows 10, scheduled for Q2 2018 (prepare test clients, follow-up on application testing, debugging )

Please note that, for those hard skills, we rely on infrastructure that is managed by central teams from the central office. So for example we do not manage the Domain Controllers, but merely need to understand the AD structure and be able to work with provided tools. Another example is we do not make any package to be integrated in SCCM: we describe what we need in the package, how the software needs to be installed, place the request at central team, test the resulting package and if approved, roll it out using provided tools.

Desirable skills - No need to configure anything, but need to understand what the supplier is talking about
