Infrastructure Specialist - Immediate Start - June 2013 Contract

A fantastic opportunity has become available for experienced Infrastructure Specialists within a Government Department for a long-term contract role.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Server hardware - HP Proliant DL, ML and BL series Servers;
- Microsoft Server operating systems - Windows Server 2003, 2008 and 2008 R2;
- Storage hardware and software - SANs, storage arrays, tape libraries, archive and backup systems;
- High availability configurations such as clustering;
- Virtualisation technologies such as Microsoft Hyper-V or VMWare vSphere and Citrix XenApp;
- Microsoft Server applications - Exchange Server 2010, SharePoint Server 2010, Dynamics CRM v4;
- Security Products - RSA Authentication Manager, ForeFront 2010, Cisco Ironport email antivirus/spam filtering; and
- Management and Monitoring tools - Microsoft SCOM, Microsoft SCCM 2007 and HP SIM/IC.

SKILLS:

- Demonstrated understanding of, and enterprise experience in the implementation and support of: Microsoft Windows Server operating systems Virtualisation technologies; Microsoft Active Directory; Enterprise security solutions; Citrix XenApp implementations, and Server infrastructure hardware.
- Demonstrated skills in the analysis of complex problems, and in the management and troubleshooting of high-impact incidents;
- Demonstrated commitment to service improvement and the delivery of quality outcomes;
- Demonstrated ability to plan and schedule complex workloads, including the balance of business-as-usual and project related tasks;
- Sound experience in the use of Scripting, and other techniques, to automate IT processes and procedures;
