Infrastructure Specialist - 5 Month Contract

INFRASTRUCTURE SPECIALIST - 5 MONTH CONTRACT - £200 TO £240

1 - Review business requirements and translate into IT Infrastructure deliverables

2 - Work closely with Senior IT Infrastructure Specialist to design IT Infrastructure solutions

3 - Work closely with Senior IT Infrastructure Specialist to implement IT Infrastructure solutions

4 - Follow best practices when building, configuring, testing and deploying new IT Infrastructure

5 - Identifies, assesses and minimizes project risks to successful project completion

6 - Support and contribute to IT Infrastructure projects to deliver new and change activities into production

7 - Serve as solution delivery expert for the design & implementation of assigned areas

8 - Work under direction of the appointed IT Project Manager for this project

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of Position.
1 - Positive feedback from IT Infrastructure PM and other key project stakeholders.
2 - Build, configure, test and deployment of key FATCA IT Infrastructure equipment and related Services.
3 - Early diagnosis of potential problems, risks and issues with escalation to IT Infrastructure PM.
4 - Infrastructure changes are implemented successfully.
5 - Positive feedback from the FATCA systems users Experience,

Skills and Competencies: Essential

- 1. Experience of implementing IT Infrastructure projects in a Financial Services organisation
- 2. Proven ability in designing, building, testing and implementing IT Infrastructure solutions
- 3. Ability to follow 'best practice' when designing, building and implementing IT Infrastructure solutions
- 4. Able to work with other technical specialists and PM resources in a team environment
- 5. Wintel server experience - Ability to build, test and configure Microsoft 2008 Windows Servers to corporate standards
- 6. VMware experience - Ability to build, test, configure and deploy VMware ESXi 5.1 Servers to MetLife corporate standards Advantageous
- Citrix Experience - experience with and knowledge of Citrix VDI environment
- Cisco network experience - Ability to build, test and configure Cisco network equipment to corporate standards
- Experience on a team managing an IT outsourced partner/relationship
- ITIL accreditation
