+INFRASTRUCTURE SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT - NETWORKING, STORAGE, SERVERS, DATABASES, MIDDLEWARE, INVESTMENT BANKING,

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

You must have a good understanding of Front (FX, EQ, PB, FI, Credit, EM), Middle (Risk, Compliance, Treasury) and Back(Operations) office businesses, and be able to translate business needs into appropriate IT solutions.

The ideal person will have a system engineering background and the ability to compare and contrast different solutions to meet a business requirement. Provide technical thought leadership in evaluation of new technologies to meet business requirements and influence key stakeholders leading to adoption.

Have in-depth conceptual functional and non-functional knowledge of:

- Networking (Cisco, TCP/UDP, Broadcast/Multicast, LAN/WAN)
- Server Operating systems internals, benchmarking and performance tuning (Linux, Windows, Solaris), CPU Microarchitectures (Intel, AMD, SPARC)NetApp NAS - CIFS, NFS)
- Databases (OracleVCS & MSCS)

ABOUT THE ROLE

Global Banking & Markets/Global Private Banking Solutions Architecture & Engineering delivers business infrastructure architecture & designs. The team also manages & optimises portfolio of infrastructure per business unit driving operational improvement & cost efficiencies.

The role focuses on both architecture and design.

- A track record of making complex business decisions with authority, even in times of ambiguity, considering the potential long term risks and implications
