Infrastructure Project Testing Specialist

My Brussels based client within the financial sector has an immediate requirement for an Infrastructure Project Testing Co-ordinator for an initial 12 month contract.
The role will encompass the Project co-ordination of the testing and deployment phases of the projects, with a strong affinity with technical aspects which will include building a cross platform testing and launching strategy based on a risk approach.
Applicants will be able to plan, manage and report on the testing activities (from preparation to execution and defect management, using Quality Centre) and will organise the launch activities in pre-production and production. In additions applicants will have previous experience of coordinating efforts with major stakeholders in the company and to obtain sign-off from them on key deliverables.
Candidates will have several years experience within Infrastructure project testing and at least 3 years testing Team Management experience preferably within the financial sector. In addition you will have several years experience in Infrastructure project testing mainly on Distributed (Windows, Unix), IBM Mainframe and Quality Centre.
Knowledge of risk based testing and the V-model concepts is required as is the ability to deal with conflicting priorities and to manage changes. Any knowledge/experience of defect management would be advantageous as would certification of ISTQB or similar.
This is potentially a long term engagement within an excellent working environment for the right candidate.
