Infrastructure Project Manager

- 6-9 Fixed term contract
- Based in Melbourne CBD
- Exciting infrastructure integration and analysis project

Our client is looking for an Infrastructure Project Manager to join their IT team. This position will see you mange various infrastructure projects in a large, complex environment.

In particular, you will be responsible for managing external 3rd party vendors - in particular, around delivery of Infrastructure (Wintel, Storage, & Telco) solutions.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

- Analysing current and future infrastructure systems
- Consolidate and integrate duplicate systems
- Decommission or replace un-utilised systems
- Ensure that all projects/solutions adhere to set/agreed guidelines and standards
- Ensure that 3rd party vendors are meeting agreed SLA's
- Manage risks and issues
- Process improvement
- Input on future IT infrastructure planning

To be considered for this position, you will have:

- A strong track record managing large infrastructure projects (end to end) - across desktops, Servers, storage and networks
- Previous experience of decommissioning and integrating infrastructure systems
- Solid planning and organisational skills
- The ability to work to deadliness
- Previous experience managing external 3rd party vendors

An experienced Infrastructure Project Manager, you will also have excellent communication skills and a track-record in gaining the confidence of stakeholders required. You will possess a strong focus in delivering solutions to the business (establish statement of work, architectural contribution, control and delivery). You will understand risks/issue management and thrive working in dynamic and fast paced environment.

Project management certifications (Prince2), or related discipline also highly desirable.
