INFRASTRUCTURE MANAGER REQUIRED ASAP - SUPPLY CHAIN SECTOR - 12 MONTH DAY RATE CONTRACT
This company is a well-established and highly regarded brand name in the FMCG sector. They currently require an Infrastructure Manager for a 12 month day rate contract with the potential possibility of extension/permanency.
This company is undergoing a global transformation and with its ever evolving IT landscape this is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to part of a number of defining projects.
A strong management figure is required to implement structures and manage key infrastructure projects. Previous exposure to data centre consolidation, Application migration, data migration, rolling out new infrastructure technology such as Vmware & Linux. Broad and deep technical skills and you will need to build a team around you. This is also a great opportunity to get exposure to vendor management.
Skill set required:
- 8-10+ years working as a Service Delivery Manager/Infrastructure Manager
- Expert in infrastructure projects (applications and support)
- Experience with Linux platforms
- Exposure & knowledge to virtualisation platforms such as VMware
- Excellent storage knowledge such as EMC.
- Act as a liaison between the business and the IT team
- Translate technical issues from the Infrastructure team across the business
- Structured Project Management background (Prince, PMP, PMI)
- Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management
- Extensive support desk technologies
- Knowledge of ITIL
- System support and configuration
