Infrastructure Manager

FOR OUR CLIENT IN ZAVENTEM IN BELGIUM WE ARE CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR AN INFRASTRUCTURE MANAGER.

DURATION: 6 months and then perm contract
Location: Zaventem
LANGUAGES: French (fluent), English (good) (Dutch is a plus).
Availability: ASAP

As Infrastructure Manager your mission will be as follows:

You will be in charge of all server performance and availability across the global environment. Not only for the systems in the main datacenters, but also for remote management and administration of the systems in the field location.

This job is accountable for the successful implementation of group-wide projects impacting the IT systems and Servers, and the day to day administration and evolution of the server related systems.

Based on the service and cost improvement plans you will be accountable to:

- Perform the day to day management and administration of the Servers, storage systems, backup systems, an all computing related IT systems in the environment.
- Maintain stable operations of the platforms and proactively manage and implement enhancements as needed.
- Follow up activity, meet the targets, SLAs, projects timing, daily team management

The Key responsibilities for this role which need to be performed to be effective in this position are:

TEAM MANAGEMENT:
- Planning of operations, tasks and holidays
- Skills and knowledge management
- Improve team maturity level
- In case of absence of System administrators in the teams or network and Voice Team Manager, you can act as replacement.

MASTER PLAN:
- Implements new technologies as outlined in the business plan.
- Enhance existing platforms by adapting enhancements in working together with suppliers and manufacturers as needed.
- Proactively provides input for tactical enhancements, implements these as approved, and provides proactive input for the creation of the annual business plan.
- Implements the technology refresh programs across the computing environments.

RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT:
- Interface to IT and Services resources.
- Works with the support organization in providing end user support and VIP support as needed.
- Implements new technologies as outlined in the business plan.
- Maintain relationships with Project Managers for the implementation of projects.
- Maintains relationship with the Business Systems Integration managers as needed for the proactive capacity planning related to new initiatives across the environment.

TECHNOLOGY DRIVERS:
- Act as a leader and expert on IT technologies for the team.
- Responsible of availability and performance of the computing systems.
- Stays up-to-date with new technologies to ensure proactive analysis and recommendations for implementation across the environment and implements once approved.
- Pro-Actively drives standardisation across the environment for hardware and software versions.
