Infrastructure Engineer. Linux, Puppet. Contract. Bristol

Infrastructure Engineer, Linux Systems Administration, VMWare, Puppet or Zabbix, 6 months Contract, £350-400/day. Bristol based.

Key Skills:

- Extensive Linux Systems Administration experience (eg Red Hat, Debian or Ubuntu etc)
- Strong DevOps experience particularly in Puppet administration experience or good Zabbix experience
- Administration of common Linux-hosted technologies eg Apache, Nginx, Samba etc
- Excellent Virtualization experience ideally VMWare
- Must be eligible to work in the UK.

Nice to have:

- Experience with Foreman, Hudson/Jenkins etc
- Linux Networking eg routing, iptables, Firewalls etc
- Scripting experience with Ruby and Bash.

About the role:

The successful Infrastructure Engineer - Linux Systems Administrator with extensive LAMP stack experience will be responsible for Build and Continuous Integration services.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Linux Systems Administration.
- Puppet administration
- DevOps
- Administration of common Linux-Hosted Technologies.
- Linux Networking.
- Infrastructure capacity planning, server specification, including for high availability and disaster recovery scenarios.
- Network Security administration.
- Design, implementation and operation of LAN/WAN and datacentre networks.
