Infrastructure Engineer - Windows, VMWare, vSphere, Active Directory, SCCM is required by my client who is based in London

REQUIRED SKILLS:

All Infrastructure Engineers shall have:

- In-depth knowledge and experience of Active Directory.
- In-depth knowledge and experience of Windows Desktop (7/8.1) & Server (2008 R2/2012 R2) operating systems.
- Experience of VMware vSphere/vCloud, managing and maintaining VMWare View environments.
- Knowledge and experience of working within secure environments.
- Experience of Microsoft System Centre - Operations Manager (SCOM), Orchestration (SCORCH), and Configuration Manager (SCCM).

The Active Directory Infrastructure Engineer shall have:

- Experience implementing and administering Active Directory in federated environment, with multiple forests and trust relationships.

The SCORCH Infrastructure Engineer shall have:

- Specific experience implementing custom workflows and system interfaces in SCORCH, including commercially-available and developed runbooks and integration packs

DESIRED SKILLS:

- Specific experience designing, deploying, and supporting virtual data centres in a service-based community cloud
- Experience of working within an ITIL based ITSM environment.
- Knowledge and experience of Scripting languages such as powershell.
- Knowledge and experience of backup software.
- Knowledge and experience of de-duplication hardware.
- Knowledge and experience of storage technologies.
- Knowledge and experience of Public Key Infrastructure and Certificate Management.
- Analytical and practical experience of TCP/IP Networking, protocols and hardware.
- Experience administering SharePoint, web Servers and SQL server.
- Familiar with Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundations.

SPECIFIC JOB DESCRIPTION:

A number of opportunities exist for Infrastructure Engineers, including engineers who specialise in Active Directory, Microsoft System Centre - Operations Manager (SCOM), Orchestration (SCORCH) and/or Microsoft System Center.

The Infrastructure Engineers are required to join the Information and Communications Technology (ICT), Engineering & Technical Operations Group. The successful candidates will have be responsible for designing and implementing ICT infrastructures within secure community cloud environments, ensuring day-to-day operation and availability.

- The Active Directory Infrastructure Engineer shall be responsible for implementing and maintaining the Active Directory infrastructure, GPOs, and trust relationships with external domains.
- The SCORCH Infrastructure Engineer shall be responsible for include designing, implementing, and maintaining the SCORCH solution and its internal and external interfaces.
- The Sercice Centre Infrastructure Engineer shall be responsible for implementing and administering the Microsoft System Centre suite of tools

The successful candidates will all have experience of working under very general supervision and be able to manage own workload. There may be a requirement for out-of-hours support in exceptional circumstances.
