Infrastructure Engineer, Luxembourg

An exciting opportunity is currently available in Luxembourg for a FRENCH-SPEAKING INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEER. This position is located in the Finance Sector through an IT Service Provider.

TASKS

- Maintenance of the Information System (IS);
- Daily maintenance tasks to keep the system in a constant state of readiness, including ensuring quality of service, security and integrity of the IS;
- Maintenance of the infrastructure's hardware and software components;
- Optimise the performance of installed systems;
- Integrate new products into the existing IS and ensure their proper implementation while respecting internal regulations and maintaining overall system stability;
- Provide analysis, follow-up and reporting for incidents;
- Provide 2nd and 3rd level user incident support;
- Produce technical infrastructure-related documentation;
- Drafting, implementation and evolution of different types of IS;
- Provide infrastructure administration;
- Assist in projects that rely on or involve the IS.

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

- At least 3-4 years of experience in the maintenance and development of complex information systems;
- Proven experience with the following software: Middleware MQ, File transfer  tools (Axway)
- Operating System/Environment: Unix (AIX, Linux), Windows
- In-depth Scripting knowledge related to each OS environment: Shellscript, C, etc.;
- Prior experience in the financial sector would be a considerable plus.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

- Very good French
- Good knowledge of English is advantageous

This position is offered as a freelance contract with a duration of 180 days.
