Infrastructure Engineer - Liverpool - Permanent - £35k

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Merseyside based company who is going through major expansion within their IT teams.

They are looking for an experience Infrastructure / 3rd Line Support engineer on a permanent basis. There is an excellent salary on offer and an unrivalled package. However, if you are looking for an opportunity with fantastic career progression prospects then this is for you.

As an Infrastructure / 3rd Line Support Engineer you will have a high-level of support experience and a very good level of technical understanding of the following technologies:

- VMWare ESX / VSphere Administration including vMotion and HA.
- Citrix Administration & VDI
- Microsoft UAG

Within this role you will enter as a senior engineer, responsible for managing, configuring and supporting a wide range of technologies and applications with a focus on VMware, Citrix & UAG. Responsibilities will also reach to Autonomy Worksite DMS, Microsoft Exchange 2010 & Big Hand Digital Dictation. Experience in these areas would be advantageous but not required.

This role will also include general management, support and maintenance of other systems and underlying technologies.

This role will require support of a wide range of technologies, and as such, the knowledge and skills required are as follows:

* VMWare ESX / Vsphere 4/5
* Citrix Presentation Server / XenApp
* Active Directory
* Microsoft Forefront
* Mimecast
* Microsoft Windows Server 2003/2008
* SAN infrastructure experience
* MCTS/MCITP or substantially equivalent industry experience
* ITIL V3 Foundation

In addition to these technical skills, you really will need to be a sociable person, who can work on their own initiative but also be willing to get involved in team discussion and provide skills transfer to other more junior members of the team.

Experience in a similar role in a professional business environment would be ideal, and you must be able to prove your ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team to hit deadlines.

This is a permanent role and there is a salary of up to £35k with an excellent package.
