Infrastructure Designer - Unix

Seeking an Unix Infrastructure Designer who also has experience covering a wide range of multi technology domains.

You will be responsible for producing high quality infrastructure designs and design documentation. You will have worked in large, complex and enterprise environments. Your multi technology domain experience will be across the following: - server hardware, networking, security, server and application virtualisation, system integration, operating systems, databases, storage.

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

- You will have at least 10+ years as an Infrastructure Designer working on large-scale and technically challenging projects including a number of UNIX solutions.
- Your experience will include solution and technical design spanning the breadth of infrastructure, specifically experience with Solaris, Oracle (SUN) hardware, Redhat and/or other Linux distributions.
- Deliver infrastructure solution and technical designs for the project addressing all elements of the solution to meet the business functional and non-functional requirements
- You will have strong and demonstrated stakeholder and vendor management skills
- Ability to act as a trusted advisor in the effective use of infrastructure technologies for the business solution
- Lead the definition, governance and impact assessment associated with design decisions made throughout the project
- Manage risks and issues associated with the infrastructure solution design and project
- Provide thought and technical leadership to the project team and stakeholders of the project
- Demonstrated superior analytical, communication and technical documentation skills
- Excellent influencing and negotiation skills
