Infrastructure Designer

An exciting opportunity in a large government organization has become available for an Infrastructure Designer with ITIL v3 certification. The successful candidate will have clear, effective communication skills, think strategically and have a proven record of ability to achieve results.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

- Design secure and resilient technology architectures that meet all of the current and anticipated future IT requirements
- Ensure that the design of all process, roles, responsibilities and documentation is regularly reviewed and audited for efficiency, effectiveness and compliance.
- Propose design enhancements to IT infrastructure, capacity changes, business continuity, backup and disaster recovery arrangements, as required, while being aware of operational requirements in terms of service levels, response times, availability, security and repair times.

MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS:

- Australian citizenship or permanent residency
- Minimum 8 years senior engineer experience enterprise environment, responsible for delivery of highly available IT services to a medium to large customer base
- Minimum of 5 years experience designing enterprise services within a data centre environment.
- Minimum of 5 years exposure to design principles for both cloud, and centralized computing.
- Experience and Certification in ITIL V3 processes for Service Strategy, Design, Transition, Operation, and Continual Service Improvements.
- Procurement experience
