INFRASTRUCTURE DEDICATED SUPPORT TECHNICIAN NUREMBERG, PA CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY

DESKTOP SUPPORT:

- Set up and maintain new and existing PCs
- Troubleshoot and fix problems encountered on PCs and triage issues with affiliated departments
- Create, edit, and maintain documentation for data collection reporting
- Interface with data warehouse to pull reports for stored product data
- Interface and upgrade systems as required, provide input on buy/lease on case-by-case basis

NETWORK PHYSICAL SUPPORT AND ASSISTANCE:

- Perform identification and resolution activities of cable faults and networking issues
- Replace faulty network cables from PC to local network port and at the patch panels where required
- Provide "hands and eyes" assistance with hubs, Switches, bridges, and Routers, as directed by the Client or its authorized service providers
- Provide the "hands and eyes" for other Client providers as necessary to perform physical tasks such as software upgrades, physical swaps and reboots under their guidance

TELEPHONY:

- Provide connectivity to the telephone switch through the IMAC process
- Identify and rectify connectivity problems for existing users
- Identify and rectify telephony service delivery issues, both configuration and hardware related, engaging third party maintenance providers and Client staff as required
- Perform day-to-day administration functions required to support the switchboard and telephone switch
- Perform programming and configuration activities required to support changes and movements within the business
- Perform the day-to-day administration functions required to support the voicemail system
- Perform programming and configuration activities required to support changes and movements within the business on the voicemail service
- Confirm all telephony related equipment, including wiring and patch panel closets, is maintained and managed to the standards laid out by the Client

MOBILE TELEPHONES:

- Provide an end-user support service for mobile telephones
- Co-ordinate the repair and maintenance of mobile telephones through agreed channels
- Confirm the efficient acquisition and reallocation of mobile telephones as directed through the agreed channels

FAX MACHINES:

- Provide an IMAC service for the fax infrastructure, including the associated telephony environment
- Manage the fax infrastructure including recommendations for the upgrade replacement or retirement of equipment
- Manage the supply and installation of maintenance kits and consumables, excluding paper, confirming that requisitions for replacement consumable stock are placed through the approved sourcing channels in a timely manner
- Perform hardware repairs or co-ordinate with third-party repair organizations, as required

AUDIO-VISUAL:

- Provide basic support for audio-visual equipment located in Client offices, meeting rooms and training facilities
- Assist with PC connectivity/configuration to audio-visual equipment, troubleshooting and testing the equipment and configuration settings
- Minor maintenance including bulb replacement
- Coordinate the repair, upgrade, and/or replacement activity of equipment and interact with vendors as needed
- Approved equipment will vary by site/location and includes audio, video, telepresence and electronic whiteboard technologies

LOCAL APPLICATIONS:

- Troubleshoot problems associated with local applications and reinstall applications as needed to Remedy problems
- Identify the Local Application according with either the standard Service Level Agreement for support, or where locally agreed, an application specific SLA
- Refer to Client personnel for guidance in situations where an application does not fit into one of the pre-defined categories (Core Load, Specialist Application, Local Application)
- Provide the defined support on a reasonable effort as agreed upon in SLA

SERVER SUPPORT:

- Perform installations, configurations, and maintenance activities in the server environment
- Assist with server upgrades
- Perform maintenance on user accounts
- Plan and perform backup, recovery, and security procedures
- Analyze and resolve problems associated server hardware and application software
- Follow established procedures to detect, diagnose, and report all application related problems with Servers
- Install new software releases, system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches, and resolves software related problems

NETWORK AND NETWORK MANAGEMENT SUPPORT:

- Perform network systems administration tasks that are both planned and emergency
- Perform installations, configuration and maintenance for the network environment
- Analyze and resolve problems associated network hardware
- Review application information in the network environment relative to problem and resolution

PROJECT MANAGEMENT:

- Facilitate the change management resolution process with the Client
- Evaluate technologies and tools to remain current with trends/practices and make recommendations based on those findings
- Establish and document standards and procedures for management review in detecting, diagnosing, and reporting all application related server problems
- Maintain data, software, and hardware security and emergency procedures
