Infrastructure Architectect

Bluefish Communications, an IT consulting and professional services company are working with a mobile telecommunications company in Belgium. We are looking to source suitable candidates for the following position:

The Infrastructure Architect will liaise with business development colleagues, IT/Dev and Network peers concerning all new business and technology business cases and projects

- The Infrastructure architect will work with the Billing architects, SMEs and technical teams to manage existing infrastructure capacity, scalability and expansions, where necessary will provide the related infrastructure designs, business cases and costs.
- The Infrastructure architect will be expected to chair the Infrastructure roadmap forum, working closely with IT/Dev project managers, Infrastructure delivery managers and managed service partners, for delivery and support
- The Infrastructure architect will work closely with suppliers, vendors and third parties to deliver the related technical infrastructure solutions, including working closely with the Data Centre manager and related managed service providers.
- The Infrastructure architect will manage and negotiate all infrastructure related costs, provide technical presentations and roadmap presentations to senior management

Technology Knowledge

- Good understanding the concepts of
- Cloud technologies (private and hybrid cloud)

- Life cycle management

Have an in-depth understanding of the technologies (concepts, design, implementation, usage):

- Server virtualisation techniques
- Oracle Solaris environnements
- SAN and SAN switching
- Network design
- Load balancing/Proxy appliances
- Redundancy and recovery
- WEB infrastructures
- Infrastructure management and monitoring
- IP Addressing
- Cabling

Good understanding of frameworks

- Project Management (Prince2)
- Service Management (ITIL)
- Architecture Management (eTom, Togaf)
