Infrastructure Architect (DC Migration)

INFRASTRUCTURE ARCHITECT (DC MIGRATION)/3 - 4 MONTH CONTRACT/ZURICH, SWITZERLAND/600 CHF PER DAY

A leading technology consultancy is seeking a Datacenter Migration Expert to join their insurance customer onsite in Zurich for 3 - 4 months.

Requirements:

- Hands on experience in DC Migration projects migrating IT Assets (Servers, Storage, Network) from one datacenter to another.
- Understanding of the Customer Strategy and Business Requirements
- Experience translating Business Requirements into Technical Requirements
- Experience developing High Level Design to meet Customer requirements
- Ensured Traceability of requirements through design, implementation and testing phases of the project.
- Hands on experience in delivering high value System Integration projects.
- Deep understanding on various aspects of technology such as;

1. Datacenter migration.

2. Servers (UNIX and Wintel)

3. Consolidation and Virtualization

4. Storage and backup

5. Data centre build and implementation

6. Network (LAN and WAN)

7. Disaster Recovery/BCP

- Strong technical background in one of the core IT Infrastructure areas like Platform/Network/Database (L3 or above)
- Detail and high level designing experience across multiple technologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively present findings and reports at the local and senior business management level
