Tasks
- Lead or contribute to the analysis of large development initiatives
- Express technical leadership to the IT Infrastructure engineering team for delivering solutions meeting functional and non-functional infrastructure requirements:

o ensure architecture principles are understood and translated into design and implementation
o steer & review the most complex design packages, manage their technical exposure and risk
o ensure proper oversight for quality assurance of engineering deliveries
o develop and maintain the infrastructure architecture roadmap
- Maintain strong collaboration, information sharing and support connections with all his/her architect peers within the company's Solution Delivery department
- Evangelize re-use & programmability through implementation of shared engineering assets
- Develops, monitors and uses influence to encourage utilization of technology standards, guidelines and policies
- Proactively provide feedback regarding infrastructure engineering methodologies, standards and leading practices
- Creates and articulates infrastructure solution architectures that meet business requirements, encompassing the business, application, data and infrastructure elements of the solution
- Compares various architectural options based on feasibility and impact and proposes actionable plans
- Identifies opportunities to upgrade, stabilize or improve existing infrastructure services to ensure on-going high performance and supportability, and evaluate emerging technologies against business and IT strategic needs, via R&D and vendor engagement
- Provide internal workshops on roadmaps, technologies or specific solutions to various audience (technical & managerial)
- Ensures good interaction and communication with: Product Managers, Customers, Engineering teams, Security, Operational teams, Program Managers and Suppliers.

TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Excellent technical architecture skills, enabling the creation of future proof global solutions
- Excellent knowledge of

o Operating Systems
§ Windows, architecture and systems design & associated management tools
§ Linux and Unix, Ubuntu, RHEL, CentOS, architecture and systems design & associated management tools
o Virtualization, architecture and systems design: VMWare vSphere, KVM
o Storage & storage virtualization, architecture and systems design, incl fiber channel networks, storage replication techniques including backups solution.
o Common IT technologies like IIS, Active Directory, SCCM/SCOM, PKI, VDI, Remote Desktop Server, DNS
o Identity & Access Management and integration with Active Directory
o End Point compute solutions, including asset management, build automation and Virtual Desktop Interface (VDI)
o Enterprise server hardware (HP, EMC, Simplivity)
o High available infrastructure architectures & associated DR management, including the design of Real Time, event-driven systems and service oriented architectures
o System monitoring tools (Nagios, Cacti, ), system capacity management, system profiling & application performance tools (Dynatrace, )
o Security best practices, standards & architecture within the software, system and network engineering in production
o Datacenter routing & switching (incl. integration with Firewalling layers): OSPF, 802.1Q, QinQ, Vswitch, Virtual Connect, VXLAN, NSX

Strong plus:
o Databases experience using RDBMS (Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL, postgres)
o Automation using Python and supplier tools
o Cloud, SDN/NFV architectures and programmatic/automated service model
o Awareness of DCI network architecture (OTV, Fabric Path, MPLS)
o Knowledge of Windows Enterprise Office solutions like Lync/Skype, Exchange, Sharepoint
o Enterprise Architecture industry standards and Project Management methodologies
Plus:
o Configuration management (Ansible or alike). Code repository management (Git, SVN, etc)
o Big Data Architecture (Hadoop)
o Awareness of Web Servers, Proxys and Reverse Proxys
o Awareness of Application Servers such as Jboss, Tomcat, etc
o Automation experience using Openstack
o DevOps experience in using Linux Virtual Containers technology (f.e. Docker, Vagrant)

Proven experience:
o Minimum of 7+ years experiences as IT system engineer
o Minimum of 3+ year as IT infrastructure or cloud architect, with ownership on areas like but not limited to virtualization, storage, databases, operating systems, common IT systems, public/private clouds
o Successful track record of effective vendor management & leadership on technical communities
o Experience of Data Center builds, moves, consolidations and cloud transformation
o Strong Plus
§ Experience of 3rd party cloud PaaS & IaaS services (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Rackspace, Google)
§ Successful trial or live implementation experience of private cloud or SDN/NFV
§ Having worked more than 2 years in a large scale Service Provider environment
