Infrastructure Architect

One of our prestigious clients is looking for an Infrastructure Architect.

All candidates must be fluent in Dutch and English.

Overview:

The planning and execution of the service is largely in the provincial entities. The planning service is supported by an operating planning cycle that long-term planning translates into operational planning. The planning cycle is supported by a combination of the planning package HASTUS and proprietary applications.

- To allow for new developments and applications to improve the quality and efficiency of service, it is necessary to take a new step in the development of an integrated and automated operation planning cycle, including the daily operations of the operation. Within the project we have to draw up and implement a plan for the future to define the processes and ICT solutions that translate the medium term the operating schedule in an operating schedule for the day.
- The daily schedule is ready for implementation and will be output - including via the on-board computers and all kinds of other applications in use - to the drivers, vehicles and customers.
- The needs in terms of operational daily schedule and information exchange of planning data in recent years have changed dramatically. Among other things, the need for uniform methods in combination with the evolution in standard solutions influence this strong. The existing solutions and methods should be revised therefore, focusing on openness and integration with other systems partners.

Requirements
Skills - must haves

- Knowledge of PC hardware platforms
- Knowledge of server hardware platforms
- Knowledge of Virtualization Platforms (Current standard VMWare) - Practical experience with systems design and related tools
- Knowledge of Solaris/Windows/Suse Linux server platform, Oracle DB environment, LDAP, etc.
- Knowledge of storage concepts: SAN, NAS, archiving, backup
