Infrastructure Architect

Our client an outsourcer who deals with national and local governments and leading companies and have more than 50 years' experience helping them to achieve their goals are currently recruiting for a Infrastructure Architect to work on an initial 4 Month contract based in Hampshire.

As the Infrastructure Architect you will be covering high and low level design and authoring in the following Technical areas: - - WAN and Enterprise networking
- DC Networking
- LAN Environments
- Server and authentication
- Application environments (physical and virtual)
- Large scale storage environments
- Data replication, Back-up and Disaster Recovery solutions
- Network Security and Protection
- Content management
- DNS, IP and ISP knowledge
- Customer facing skills capable of identifying technical requirements and architecting an appropriate solution within budget

You will be available for support and overall direction but this will be to deal with BAU projects.

Core duties will include: - - Support the project teams in designing and delivering changes to the live Corporate Infrastructure.
- Solution Design
- Proposals
- Technical Reviews for 3rd party proposals
- Pulling many projects towards a unified architecture

Required skills: - - Large IBM P7 and XIV environments
- Large SAN environments
- ESX and Virtual solutions
- VPN access platforms
- Firewalls and network protection
- VTL and backup solutions (VEEM preferred)
