Leading Global Solutions provider has an immediate requirement for an Infrastructure Architect for a long term contract role in Dublin
The Infrastructure Architect is responsible for working with the client to gather the client's business requirements and to translate the requirements into specific system designs. This includes working with the client to identify functional and non-functional requirements and subsequently working with senior technical resources in the identification, justification and design of the solution.
The Infrastructure Architect is responsible for a wide range of architectural activities from requirements analysis through to systems design specification and requires broad technical knowledge across multiple platforms, processes and architectures. The position will include developing and documenting formal architectural work products, and participating in architectural governance with technical teams and with the customer.
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
- Familiar with a broad range of IT infrastructure technologies with major focus on server, storage and networking.
- Maintains knowledge of latest innovations/offerings and can position these with customers
- Understands IT as an enabler in the customer's business
- Leadership skills: Influences client and business on issues related to the development of IT solutions. Leads technical teams in the design of solutions for new and complex information technology problems.
- Good understanding of Project Management Fundamentals
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Experience developing formal architectural work products and applying good architectural governance would be an advantage
- Business oriented thinking in accordance with corporate strategy and offerings
- Understands the commercial aspects of a project and solutions
- Understands and can articulate customer drivers and requirements in a complex business and IT environment
- Understands the IT outsourcing marketplace, including what our competitors are offering
INTERPERSONAL SKILLS
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Ability to work as part of a team, working together to achieve goals
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Excellent knowledge sharing/coaching/mentoring abilities
