Infrastructure Architect

The contract is with a large consultancy organisation in Brussels that are seeking an Infrastructure Architect/Project Manager to assist in setting up the office automation infrastructure for 3 sites.
The activities of the architect are:
-Design Activities: analyse the needs and identify the priorities; design the different layer of the infrastructure and document it; define infrastructure (HW and SW) procurement tasks; define specific expertise procurement tasks; write the technical specifications.
-Coordination activities: Write the necessary supporting documents (identification of needs, design, various technical annexes forprocurement, project plan for design and implementation phase); coordinate the design and implementation tasks of the infrastructure; inform/report on the progress status of the implementation plan.
-Control activities: ensure quality control of the produced offers and of deliverables from specific experts; follow-up of the implementation plan and subcontract folow-up.
In carrying out these activities the candidate will have to use the existing procurement channels as much as possible. Any risks must be documented and mitigation action proposed.
The candidate should have a solid and wide technical background with focus on the services required and the technology to employ. Writing skills are necessary to produce the technical annexes of the various procurement chanells. Integration and coordination skills are also required.
Previous experience in setting up similar infrastructure would be an asset.
Contract Brussels
3 months with extension for further 3 months.
