For our client, an international banking client located in Zurich, Swisslinx is now urgently looking for an Application Supporter to join the global, high availability web infrastructure of our client.
Are you looking for a challenging role in an international and technically challenging environment?
In this initial 6-months contract, you will be responsible for administering, maintaining/enhancing and implementing of system changes which range from small components to entire complex system infrastructure, but also monitoring and controlling the system performance (incl. physical equipment) in order to ensure that the infrastructure operations meet the corporate guidelines. You take action when the infrastructure availability, integrity or performance is compromised and work closely with technical teams in order to ensure better reliability and cost-effectiveness.
The specific tasks you will be assigned to include building, decommissioning and supporting the Web & J2EE application environment, migrating those applications into a new share environment, but also analysing & resolving application incidents. Finally, you will be part of an on-call rota approximately one week per quarter.
In order to be considered for this challenging contract in Zurich, Swisslinx is seeking for an individual with strong communications skills and the following qualifications:
- Very strong UNIX Administration experience, ideally Solaris and RedHat
- Min. 4 years of experience in WebSphere Application Server administration
- Strong knowledge of Apache, TomCat and IHS
- Good understanding of connectivity (Web services & messaging)
- Experience in supporting, large and complex, high availability J2EE application infrastructure
- Experience with Monitoring tools are highly beneficial
- Fluent English is mandatory and German beneficial
