Infrastructure and Build Engineer

Our client has an Anonymous Video Analytics product with a client that runs across a wide variety of operating systems, monitors the system it is on to recover from any unexpected events, and periodically sends the anonymous data to the Back End Servers. The team is constantly working to add additional features and fix issues as they arise. We're looking for someone who has experience running the build and source code management for a released product/production environment. This team uses an Agile Scrum code development process.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The primary responsibility of this role is to manage the source code repository and build tools/environment so that the team can sustain a constant stream of code releases across a variety of operating systems (including Windows and Linux). This position owns creating and tagging builds, making sure packages are signed correctly, and all other activities around code infrastructure needed to make releases happen smoothly. This includes working with other internal teams and resources to share learnings and processes and work to ensure alignment between relevant build and infrastructure teams.

REQUIREMENTS:

- 5+ years of related work experience
- Extensive experience with system administration
- Experience managing Apache with PHP
- Experience with database administration and MySQL
- Expert knowledge of Linux and Windows
- Understanding of SSL certificate management
- Experience configuring Firewalls and proxies
- Strong overall knowledge of networking
- Programming experience with SQL and Scripting languages (Perl)
- Willingness to work outside of business hours on short notice
- Experience with IBM Rational Build Forge
- Experience with Klocwork Code Analysis
- Experience with BullseyeCoverage Code Coverage Analyzer
- Experience with Subversion version control system

NICE TO HAVE:

- Experience with network administration
- Programming experience with PHP, C++, Perl, Python, or other similar languages
- Experience migrating MySQL databases to and from other types
- Experience with distributed databases
- Experience with McAfee products
- Experience with designing scalable server architectures including an understanding of load balancing, database replication, and performance monitoring
- Experience in developing and understanding the intricacies of large scale software development
- Familiarity with GIT and Perforce for source control
