Infrastructure Analyst (Vmware, Exchange, Citrix)

VMware View & vSphere 4.1/5, Citrix Presentation Server 4.5, Windows Server 2003/2008, MS Exchange 2003/2010 & Active Directory, Group Policy, LAN/WAN, Cisco Switches (Layer 2 & 3), Routers, Cisco PIX/ASA, VPN, Storage including NetApp SAN, BigHand, Microsoft UAG, imanage worksite

My client based in Merseyside is seeking an Infrastructure Analyst for an initial 6 month contract.

The successful candidate should possess good troubleshooting skills, be a team player and have excellent communication skills and have previous experience working within the Legal Sector although applicants without will still be considered.

This is a broad ranging technical role, candidates should demonstrate strong technical skills with as many of the following as possible:

VMWare (vSphere 5)

Active Directory

Windows 2003 / 2008 R2 Server and related technologies e.g. DNS, WINS, DHCP, WSUS

Microsoft Exchange 2010

Microsoft SCCM 2007/2012

SAN Technologies (NetApp)

LAN, WAN, Cisco,Firewalls

Email Archiving

Server Backups

Your responsibilities will include:

Pro-active management of the server and network systems in use by the firm

Design and development of the systems and services as part of a plan of continuous improvement

Providing support to resolve issues from other support teams and working to improve stability and performance

Maintaining up-to-date accurate documentation, including processes and procedures

The installations and maintenance of existing computing, storage and backup systems. The Infrastructure analyst team`s responsibilities include hardware, operating system software, infrastructure support applications and functional applications.

Providing input into architecture and engineering of the planning, installation, configuration, performance, change management, and availability of the company`s server support infrastructure and services.

To assist in the monitoring and taking correct action for daily backup of all IT systems.

To provide assistance to members of the IT team.
