My client, a leading automotive manufacturer, based in Warwickshire, are looking to recruit an Infotainment Engineer to join their Electrical Engineering division on a long-term contract basis.

Description:

Development and Management of Next Gen Infotainment (NGI) TV and media features for the introduction of further features including DLNA and TV Broadcast formats to support worldwide rollout.

Specifications generation, issues management and resolution, feature test and sign-off Feature owner role for Television/Multimedia systems for NGI for Job 2 and beyond. Managing the development and sign off of core cross-car line projects and their application onto vehicle projects
Managing programme deliverables to internal gateways and reporting of progress against targets and milestones
Leading the relationship with the software suppliers to ensure robust designs, delivery to timing and performance targets

Skills Required:

Infotainment technical knowledge to "feature owner" level for TV and multimedia, specifically around the interfaces and functionality to support emerging broadcast and media formats in various countries worldwide
Experience of delivering technically complex programmes, general electrical/electronics development experience
Working knowledge of TV systems and worldwide broadcast formats
Able to demonstrate an ability to lead the resolution of complex technical issues within a team environment
Self motivated, ability to manage and drive multiple suppliers, ability to resolve conflict and issues
Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, self-confidence and the ability to operate with minimum supervision
Computer literate in most Microsoft Office applications.
The role will require inter-site travel, therefore it is expected that candidates will hold a valid UK Driving licence
Educated to Degree level in suitable subject
