Information Specialist Job

INFORMATION SPECIALIST needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in East Hanover, NJ.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Performing a variety of biomedical literature searches.
- Topics include but are not limited to regulatory reports (ophthalmic drugs and devices), toxicology, new product concepts, clinical data to support health professional inquiries, microbiological risks, ophthalmic lasers, surgical systems and their components, and literature to support IACUC (Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee) protocols on animal alternatives.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- An undergraduate degree from a respected institution with demonstrated analytical expertise is required, a life science, chemistry, or pharmacy degree is a plus
- Five plus years of relevant industry or research experience, with pharmaceutical/medical experience a must
- Experience with Windows-based computer systems, databases, and electronic resources
- Must be highly proficient with OvidSP (Embase, Medline, Biosis) and able to utilize a wide variety of pharmaceutical databases, search engines, and other resources
- Should have experience with searching the literature related to medical devices, consumer and combination products
- Familiarity with drug regulatory processes such as NDA/ANDA and PMA Annual Reports
- Familiar and comfortable with the pharmaceutical industry and drug/chemical nomenclature and drug class hierarchies
- Advanced bibliographic expertise in searching, managing, and reporting information
