Information Services Developer (Cobol) - Remote Job

REMOTE- INFORMATION SERVICES DEVELOPER (COBOL) - MEDICARE SYSTEMS needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Camp Hill, PA. THIS POSITION CAN BE REMOTE AND WORKED FROM ANYWHERE.

TOP SKILLS SHOULD YOU POSSESS:

- Experience in the following programming languages:
- Cobol - 15 or more years with recent experience
- JCL - Five (5) or more years
- Assembler - Five (5) or more years
- VSAM - Five (5) or more years

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Position is in support of the Medicare Part B Maintainer task order and the project will encompass approximately 22,000 hours of systems maintenance, definition, development and testing activities per quarter throughout the contract life.
- Role involves performing system maintenance in a rigorous, high-maturity environment.
- Develop technical designs for required systems changes Code and test Change Requests (CRs) in the development, enhancement, and maintenance of the MCS environment using the defined MCS release process Support system testing Coordinate or attend appropriate work product reviews with the customers, BAs, and other developers
- Work collaboratively with developers, business analysts and project manager to produce quality changes within specified delivery timeframes
- Support and assist the Project Manager in all project phases
- Provide weekly individual status reports to communicate successes, needs and activities to MCS project manager

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- High school degree or higher
- Demonstrated ability to work with remote data centers in executing cycles
- Skilled in IBM Mainframe platform, MVS operating system, TSO/ISPF
- Familiarity with Network Data Mover
- Strong written and verbal communication at a level appropriate for customer and CMS interaction/visibility
- Capable with MSOffice (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Systems Development Methodology knowledge/experience

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Established knowledge in Healthcare claims processing system support is a plus
- CICS, JAVA, PowerBuilder - nice to have, not a requirement
