The Global Data team has an open position for a Global Storage Architect. The Storage Architects role is to maintain a stable, predictable, and scalable environment for the delivery of IT. solutions.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Providing technical day-to-day management of both NAS and CAS storage devices
- Evaluating and implementing new NAS storage hardware and software technologies
- Architecture of NAS storage designs based on internal customer requirements including integrations and acquisitions
- Leading NAS storage capacity planning and trending
- Driving long range road mapping and ensure consistency with business objectives for resiliency, disaster tolerance, and regulatory compliance
- Refreshing leased or depreciated storage hardware
- Automating the delivery of storage solutions
- Working directly with the Global Storage Lead to establish operating mechanisms for weekly communication, strategy, and problem & resolution management
- Providing L4 support to L2 and L3 support teams
- Awareness of and compliance with the Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply
- Leading process improvements and maintain the storage quality framework

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

- BS/BA in Computer Science or related field or a minimum of 5 years experience with storage technologies
- Minimum of 2 years experience working as a storage architect
- Minimum of 3 years administration of NetApp and/or Hitachi Storage devices
- ONTAP 7-Mode, ONTAP 8.x and Clustered Data ONTAP
- Snapmirror, Snapvault, and Snapshots
- OnCommand Systems Manager, Operations Manager, Protection Manager, Unified Manager, Performance Advisor, and Performance Manager.
- Managing controllers in a NIS and LDAP environment
- CIFS and NFS
- Minimum of 5 years administration experience with Windows, Solaris and Linux Operating Systems

PREFERRED:

- Proven leadership, strong interpersonal, team building and motivational skills with an ability to communicate technical information and strategy to both technical and non-technical users
- Basic windows batch Scripting or UNIX Shell Scripting
- Architecture and installation experience with Hitachi HCP and Hitachi SAN
- Working knowledge of Aptare Storage Console
- GxP, FDA, Sarbanes-Oxley and other regulatory compliance experience
- Experience working in ASP or PACS data Centers
- Project Management experience
- Maintaining leading edge technical skills in a rapidly changing environment
- Self-motivated
- Experience in vendor management for one or more GEHC suppliers
- Workflow Automations (WFA)
- Basic SAN administration
