We have an open position for a Global Data Protection Administrator. The Data Protection Administrators role is to maintain a stable, predictable, and scalable backup and recovery environment for the delivery of IT solutions in a large enterprise environment.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

- Participate in operational break-fix activities for global Backup and Recovery environments ensuring resolution in a timely manner.
- Coordinate internal support teams and third parties in the support and resolution of issues.
- Design and deploy backups for Internal and external customers.
- Participate in Disaster Recovery exercises and evaluate and document exercise results.
- Participate in small projects.
- Automate the delivery of backup solutions.
- Develop and maintain operational processes.
- Ensure conformance to established system architecture, regulations, standards and practices and participate in their creation.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and provide support for backups, recovery and disaster recovery for core business and hosted hospital disaster recovery sites.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

- BS/BA in Computer Science or in related field, or a minimum 2 years of experience with server or storage technologies
- Minimum 2 years of administering backup/recovery solutions
- Minimum 1 years of administration experience with Symantec NetBackup
- Installing and configuring NetBackup clients and agents
- Configuring NetBackup master, media Servers and agents
- Advanced troubleshooting of backup and restore failures using log file analysis
- Minimum 2 years of experience with Windows, Solaris, Linux and VMWare
- Minimum 1 years of experience working in large scale enterprise environments with backup and storage technologies

PREFERRED:

- NetBackup Administration Certified
- Architecture and installation experience with DataDomain, Symantec Appliances or MSDP
- Working knowledge of Aptare Storage Console
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Proven written/verbal communication skills
- Experience working in ASP or PACS data Centers
- GxP, FDA, Sarbanes-Oxley and other regulatory compliance experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and multitask
- Excellent analytical/problem solving skills
- Self-motivation and ability to work without supervision
- Self-learning with the desire to expand knowledge and develop to L4 Engineer
