Information Security Specialist - London - £40k

A successful, well established and well know specialist school is currently looking for an Information Security Specialist to join their team. You will be part of the Information Technology Department which provides technology support services to internal staff and faculty, to full and part time students, to executive education clients and to alumni.

Reporting to the Lead Networks, Telecoms & Security Engineer, you will be involved in the support and development of the systems and mechanics which ensure that the School's technology infrastructure and systems receive an appropriate level of protection from external and internal security threats.

The ideal information security candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent and have the ability to work with others to develop business solutions. Utilising your planning and organisational skills, you will focus on delivering results.

Information Security knowledge in the following areas is essential:

- Network principles and protocols including; OSI and internet models, data transmission, data link control protocols
- security principles including: zones, secure routing and switching, VPNs (IPSec, GRE, L2TP), encryption and authentication, network access (AAA, RADIUS, TACACS+), service provider security (ACLs, NBAR, CAR)
- LAN network hardware such as HP Procurve or Cisco
- Enterprisewireless networks such asArubaand their security
- Network perimeter security including firewalls and intruder detection
- Identify management & authentication solutions
- Anti-virus systems on both server and client form manufacturers such as McAfee, Symantec and Microsoft
- Encryption technology including PKI and common implementations such as SSL
- VoIP technology
- ITIL

Location is centralLondon.

Salary is £40k depending on level of experience.
