Information Security Specialist

Yoh has a contract opportunity for an INFORMATION SECURITY DETECTION PROFESSIONAL to join our client in Melbourne, FL.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Responsible for Tier 1 Incident Detection and Reporting.
- Responsible for monitoring security events to identify possible incidents.
- Use skills and external resources to validate those events as valid or false positive.
- Historical analysis of logs associated with security events.
- Produce well-written reports outlining incident and potential mitigation.
- Data mining from various sources looking for anomalous activity.
- Communicate with teammates about potential incidents and trends.
- Work is done in a 24X7X365 Environment.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- College Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Understand system logs and be familiar with log analysis.
- Ability to think outside the box and make decisions quickly.
- Strong investigative drive.
- Understanding of cyber attack vectors (Buffer Overflow, Phishing, etc).
- Self-motivated individuals.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong listening skills.

PREFERRED JOB SKILLS/CERTIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE:

- Information Security experience.
- Experience in Cyber Defense technologies.
- Understanding of system vulnerabilities and exploitation.
