Information Security Program Manager

OUR CLIENT IS A HUGELY POPULAR ONLINE RETAILER LOOKING FOR A HIGHLY MOTIVATED PROGRAM MANAGER TO DRIVE SECURITY ACTIVITIES IN THE SELLER SERVICES BUSINESSES.

This is a highly visible role that requires both business acumen when working with senior management, a strong security background for understanding threats facing modern software, and technical depth for removing development roadblocks. You will interact with a broad cross section of the organization as you trace through complex interconnected systems to improve the overall security stance of the organization and root out any issues uncovered along the way.

As Information Security Program Manager, you'll have to:

- Help senior management with the planning of security initiatives
- Help the various teams to identify, understand and prioritize the remediation of security risks
- Identify areas of improvement

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience with technical product management in a software development environment utilizing life cycles such as scrum, waterfall, or agile
- Minimum of 1 year of experience with information security related work (secure development, operations, assessments, remediation etc.)
- Ability to credibly coordinate between technical teams and business stakeholders
- Effective written and oral communication with all levels of the organization including senior leadership
- Sharp analytical abilities and problem solving skills
- Strong sense of ownership and drive
- Ability to prioritize and synthesize action items from disparate options and trains of thought
- Mature judgment, negotiation, and leadership skills
- Ability to prioritize security activities following a risk-based approach

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience leading the development and interpretation of security policies and procedures
- Experience creating and validating threat models
- A passion to make things better and a resourceful, prioritization based approach to achieving goals

This contract position is expected to be 7 months in duration.
