Information Security Officer

PROJECT OVERVIEW
* Position: Information Security Officer. Location: Seascale, Cumbria. Length: 12 months. Hours: 37 per week. Rate: £26.89 to £31.09 per hour

OBJECTIVE
Maintain all aspects of Information security within the business, develop and training the business on system and information ownership; information and data classification guidelines; standards and procedures to raise awareness and promote security. Monitoring and managing security technologies ensure the business complies with existing and future new security practices.

DELIVERABLES
* To assist the EHS. To monitor compliance with all relevant regulatory and Company security requirements;. To manage the interface and output of the IT Security monitoring systems internally and via the Outsourced Service Provider;. To produce regular reports and provide timely advice to the Company Security Manager in relation to the LLWR Outsourced Service Provider;. Assist with the Risk Management Active Document Set (RMADS) and manage the improvements programme;. Manage the Information assurance Maturity Model (IAMM) and associated Improvement Plan;. To maintain familiarity with legislation and regulations which are relevant to IT, Cyber and Information security in order to provide advice, guidance, training and awareness;. To review, document and apply good practice against all IT, Cyber and Information security incidents for damage arising from compromise of company sensitive and Government protectively marked information across LLW Repository Ltd and the supply chain;. To monitor usage and report irregularities including emerging technologies against threats and vulnerabilities to the Company Security Manager;. To deliver effective support for IT Security and Forensic activities;. To review security tools, processes and procedures and assist in testing the robustness of current and developing systems;. Assist with Penetration Testing activities including Applications/Software/Hardware;. Vulnerability assessment activities including Applications/Software/Hardware activities Forensics Activities Network/Hardware/Software

ESSENTIAL SKILLS
* Diploma or university degree in the field of IT and/or 5 years equivalent work experience;. Knowledge of enterprise security architecture design;. Knowledge of enterprise security document creation;. Knowledge of Business Continuity Plans and Disaster Recovery Plans;. Strong understanding of Network protocols;. Malware Analysis knowledge;. Penetration Testing knowledge;. Vulnerability Analysis knowledge;. Digital Forensics knowledge.
