Information Security Officer

On behalf of an Investment Banking client JCW are searching for an Information Security Officer to contribute to the operation of the Information Security function and provide practical support and guidance for, and challenge to, implementation of the Information Security Strategy and Information Security Management System (ISMS), in order to establish and promote effective Information Governance within the company and its subsidiaries, and to ensure that Information Security risks are appropriately managed.

Essential
Qualification
At least one of:

- Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- Member of the Institute of Information Security Professionals (M Inst IISP)

SKILLS

- Ability to engage, influence and work in partnership with a wide range of stakeholders, explaining complex information security concepts to business managers in a manner that ensures buy in
- Ability to contribute to the design and recommendation of appropriate controls to enable the achievement of both information security and wider business objectives

KNOWLEDGE

- Excellent understanding of the role of Information Security in supporting the delivery of business objectives.
- Expertise of tools, techniques and practice for managing information security risk in a financial services firm, including the relevant regulation.
- Knowledge of security, risk and IT standards, eg ISO 27001/2, ISF Standard of Good Practice, COBIT.
- Current knowledge of information security threats and vulnerabilities and changes in the threat landscape

EXPERIENCE

- Working in a function with responsibility for information security policy, risk and governance (or similar) in a significant enterprise
- Contributing to the operation, implementation, design or provision of assurance over corporate information security controls, policies and standards
