Information Security Lead

Information Security Lead - Contract - London - £competitive

Synergize Consulting are now hiring for an Information Security Lead to work at a leading government client based in London on a contract basis.

The successful candidate will be required to ensure that appropriate levels of security are in place within the relevant client site to protect all information assets.

Responsibilities include:

- Taking the lead on all Information Security and Data privacy and protection matters.
- Act as the lead official responsible for co-ordinating the Client’s response to security related matters
- Ensuring departmental security policies are maintained and reviewed and raising the awareness of information security.
- Take direct responsibility for dealing with security incidents and reviews, working closely with the Security Officer and other related stakeholders
- Take ownership of BCP (Business Continuity Plans) for the organisation

Experience required:

- Strong experience of implementing and running security management processes and procedures in compliance with CESG guidelines
- Experience with and knowledge of government Security Policy Frameworks
- Experience of both information and technical security disciplines, ideally with experience of web based delivery.
- Experience of implementing and running elements of DR/BCP
