Information Security Architect II Cissp - Issap

FUNCTION DESCRIPTION:

The IS Architect II leads the development of Information Security cross-domains, cross business-line strategies,policies and architectures in line with overall client business goals and carries responsibility for results through creation, maintenance and support of policies and architectures for the enterprise wide information security domain

- IS Architects II are involved in all major business IT projects within the bank;
- IS Architects II are involved in all major strategic decisions where Information Security is impacted;
- IS Architects II lead Information Security architectural activities;
- Strategic IT choices (a.o. analyses strategic issues from a business and Information Security perspective and ensures that Information Security implications, solutions and directions are well understood in strategic discussions) Information Security architecture (a.o. gathers insight into the long term IT and business trends and strategy regarding Information Security);
- Availability and recognition of architectural guidelines for Information Security (a.o. leads the development of guidelines on the use of Information Security architecture which can be communicated to the IT community, internal and vendors);
- IT agility of Information Security (a.o. gathers insight and understanding of the IT and business architecture and strategy regarding Information Security);
- Improvements to the effectiveness of the Information Security Architecture (a.o. leads the evaluation of past Information Security architecture driven design choices);
- Alignment of architectural development activities with others within the business/technology segment (a.o. analyses and selects from one's activities the (possible) architectural interactions with other architects).

Qualifications

- University graduate with a degree or further studies in Business, IT or a related subject;
- Ideally, post-graduate qualification in Business, IT or a related subject;
- CISSP certification (or equivalent);
- ISSAP certification (preferred) Experience;
- 8+ Years experience in ITIL;
- 8+ Years Information security experience within the financial services industry;
- Experience with and understanding of IT strategy, architecture, and applications;
- Experience with and understanding of Information Security architecture, systems and strategy;
- Experience with working in a multi-vendor IT sourcing environment (preferred);
- Experience with managing a small team of IT and Business specialists Business/Commercial.

Knowledge

- In-depth understanding of application, infrastructure and Information Security architecture, and how to best use architecture to enable business processes/results;
- Excellent understanding of bank core applications;
- Knowledge of bank business, products and key clients;
- Knowledge of bank strategic issues and how these translate into IT issues;
- Broad understanding of the banking sector and current trends;
- Broad understanding of what IT banking platforms are available in the market;
- Broad understanding of products and trends in Information Security;
- Knowledge of national and International laws related to Information Security and financial industry. IT Skills;
- Competent in the use of IT tools and applications relevant to the job;
- Competent in usage of protocols, products and trends within Information Technology;
- Ability to transform Information Security and Technology market trends to bank strategy and projects Behavourial Competencies;
