Information Security Analyst

Yoh has a contract opportunity for an INFORMATION SECURITY ANALYST to join our client in the O'Fallon, Missouri area.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

- The Information Security Technical Services Team within Information Security Operations is focused on the resolving technical issues or providing assistance regarding security control systems, and security appliances which protect access to sensitive data, as well as creating and fostering a robust control environment within Information Security.
- The Sr. Security Analyst will be involved in the analysis, design, implementation, documentation and maintenance of the systems that protect and ensure the safety of enterprise information assets.
- He or she will assist in the design of project requirements to identify any potential impact to the department and prepare recommendations detailing those efforts.
- With minimal supervision, he or she will provide management reports and identify situations where manual intervention is required.
- He or she will be involved in the update of security patches for products, appliances, and platforms under the responsibility of Information Security.
- The Sr. Security Analyst will also serve as a technical lead organizing projects, creation and follow-up of plan estimates, timelines, resource assignments, and responsibility for the more challenging customers.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

- Our client is seeking candidates with the following most important qualities:
- At least two (2) years of Information Security Technical and Analytical background experience
- Solid command line interface knowledge in Unix, SQL, and Oracle
- Medium level of network communication protocols
- An individual with knowledge of how applications speak to Back End services
- RBA experience preferred, but not mandatory
- Candidate must have a desire to learn and tackle any new technologies
- Additional Qualifications:
- BS Degree in Management Information Systems, Finance, Audit or equivalent combination of experience and formal education
- Can leverage three to seven (3-7) years of operational system support experience. Exposure to Information Security is a plus
- Understands the basics of information Security controls, in particular in the context of regulatory compliance requirements (PCI, GLBA, SOX).
- Diagnose hardware and software problems while minimizing Customer impacts
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects.
- Self-starter with good leadership abilities.
- Good business writing skills and effective presentations skills.
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Technical knowledge of command line utilities running on various platforms including Unix, Linux, HP Non-stop (Tandem), Mainframe, and MS Windows
- Ability to identify, implement, and document necessary support processes and guidelines in a manner that a team of varying skillsets and experience can perform the required tasks and configuration.
- The specific knowledge being sought for this position will be someone with experience supporting the RSA product: RBA (Risk-Based Authentication)
- We expect the candidate to demonstrate an ability to quickly learn new processes and software in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines.
- He or she is organized and stress resistant, and demonstrated his or her capability to work smoothly within a team based environment.
- He or she can utilize MS Office tools efficiently. Above all, he or she is a critical thinker who can creatively analyze existing processes, identify redundancies or inefficiencies as well as control shortcomings, and effectively summarize conclusions to management
