Information Governance and Incident Lead

My client a leading energy provider in the UK currently has an opportunity for a Information Governance and Incident Lead. Reporting directly to the Security & Governance Manager the post holder will be responsible for the supporting the operation of the information security governance function and service.

The person required will be responsible for coordinating the design, development and maintenance of the information security strategy, policy and practice. The post holder will be the point of reference for all information security matters within the client may represent them at recognised company or industry bodies and user communities. The post holder will advise and recommend appropriate security practices in support of all company IT services and where appropriate seek guidance from the Security

Excellent knowledge of information and IT security principle, threats and trends;

A high level understanding of IT systems and their architecture;

Able to define, formulate and develop the role in all aspects;

Demonstrable record of contributing effectively to a business;

Strong ability to manage multiple stakeholders;

Excellent knowledge of industry regulations and best practices;

Strong industry knowledge of system integrators

Well developed awareness and understanding of technology, services and their strategic direction.
