Information Assurance Engineer
NATO/SC Cleared
Contract: 6 months (extensions possible)
Rate: €55-€65 per hour max
Based in Brussels
* Acts as the Information Security Manager responsible for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity and availability of an organization's assets, information, data and IT services.
* Contributes to organizational approach to Security Management which has a wider scope than the IT service provider, and includes handling of paper, building access, phone calls etc., for the entire organization.
* Experienced in end-point device protection, IAM, virtualization (Hyper-V, VMWare), Arcsight, and McAfee.
* Experienced in Microsoft product security and configuration concepts including Operating System Group Policy Objects (OS GPO's), MS SQL 2012 and MS LYNC 2013, System Center Configuration Manager, System Center Orchestrator, and System Center Operations Manager.
* Responsible for patch assessment across the enterprise to include RHEL7, Microsoft Windows OS platforms (2012 R2, Win 8.1) as well as application patching.
* Responsible for open source risk assessment to include ongoing monitoring and updates.
* Provides security engineering designs and implementation in all aspects of Information Assurance and Information Security (InfoSec) Engineering. Assesses and mitigates system security threats/risks throughout the program life cycle; validates system security requirements definition and analysis; establishes system security designs; implements security designs in hardware, software, data, and procedures; verifies security requirements; performs system certification and accreditation planning and testing and liaison activities, and supports secure systems operations and maintenance.
* Works under only general direction. Independently determines and develops approach to solutions. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.
* Contributes to the completion of specific programs and projects. Failure to obtain results or erroneous decisions or recommendations would typically result in serious program delays and considerable expenditure of resources.
* Complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories and concepts, in the field. General knowledge of other related disciplines.
* Frequent inter-organizational and outside customer contacts. Represents the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects.
* Provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Solutions are imaginative, thorough, and practicable, and consistent with organization objectives.
* Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered career, or journey, level.
