Information Assurance Consultant Job

INFORMATION ASSURANCE CONSULTANT needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Bingen, Washington.

POSSESSION OF A SECRET CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED AS A CONDITION FOR EMPLOYMENT.

What You'll Be Doing:
- Consultants must have expertise in security process requirements of the US Department of Defense. It is expected that the Consultant(s) will bring both its technical and operational expertise to bear and assist in a two-stage process that will insure compliance with the requirements of the NAVAIR RFP statement of work.
- STAGE 1: Consultant shall assist in drafting a definitive statement of work that encompasses the tasks to be performed by consultant in the drafting, implementation, and management of a security plan that meets the NAVAIR requirements set out in Attachment 1 to this statement of work. Tasks that may be included in a definitive statement of work which sets forth work to be performed at Stage 2 are:
- Developing a training plan for Information Security Designated Engineering personnel to obtain appropriate level IA certifications from DoD recognized provider meeting DoD 8570.01M compliance requirements.
- Establishing and maintaining Information Assurance efforts with the customer IAO and in-turn insuring remains compliant with the current and/or base lined C&A plan(s) and ATO (s).
- Developing Information Assurance Vulnerability Management Plan (s) per DoD INSTRUCTION 8500.01 SUBJECT: Cyber Security (14 MAR 2014) and DoD 8510.01 SUBJECT: Risk Management Framework approach.
- Drafting Information Assurance policies and practices for widespread dissemination to maintain DoD IA compliance.
- Establishing and performing duties as Deputy Chair for the System Security Engineering Working Group (SSEWG) activities (triaging external updates, assuring IA requirements Embedded into project plans, etc.) under the chairmanship of a full time employee
- Receiving all DISA Vulnerability Alerts, Bulletins, and Technical Advisories, DISA STIGs, vendor application patches and updates.
- Making recommendations for final decisions based on SSEWG results to integrate aforementioned vulnerability updates in a timely manner as prescribed by DISA
- Working closely with assigned Product owner for impacted IA components to ensure timely integration meeting all IA compliance guidance
- Preparing IA based recommendations for the X200 Change Review Board chaired by the Chief Engineer.
- Reviewing proposals, letters, or other documentation as required for Information Assurance compliancy.
- STAGE 2: Perform all identified tasks in the definitive statement of work that will lead to the drafting, implementation and management of a security plan that meets all of the requirements found in the NAVAIR RFP statement of work as set out in Attachment 1 to this statement of work. Consultant shall provide a comprehensive solution that can be implemented with timelines consistent with the requirements of the NAVAIR RFP.

What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- High School diploma
- Eight to ten (8-10) years minimum applicable experience
