Information Assurance Compliance Specialist - CAS (T), CLAS - London

SC CLEARED INFORMATION ASSURANCE COMPLIANCE SPECIALIST/CLAS CONSULTANT required for central government department based in Central London.

Candidates must have an awareness of the latest Telecoms and IT products, with the ability to judge compliance under defined standards. CAS (T) experience is essential along with Active CLAS membership. Experience of working for a UKAS registered organisation is highly desirable

KEY TASKS AND DELIVERABLES

Deal with any Information Assurance (IA) related questions from Public Sector Network (PSN) customers and service providers. Provide PSN customers and service providers with support in drafting their submissions, working with applicants to ensure IA evidence and documents are complete. Provide an evaluation of customer and service provider submissions, working with applicants to ensure IA evidence and documents are complete. Monitor and keep track of which customers are in escalation or on Remedial Action Plans, and provide reasonable support to resolve the issues Provides specialist information security advice to customers and service providers. Aids them in understanding and appropriately mitigating their risk positions Plans and manages delivery of a security work programme. Provide a coherent rationale to enable the PSN Management to initiate escalation proceedings where necessary and make justifiable decisions. Provide reasonable ad-hoc support to central, non-central government customers and commercial service providers directly as necessary to support the resolution of IA issues Feedback accurate and up to date status information and customer feedback to the PSN Management team. Work with PSN Policy team to improve submission Templates and supporting guidance. Liaise with the rest of the PSN team to resolve IA queries
